My friend just bought a new yamaha receiver and pioneer dvd player to use with his existing speaker set and subwoofer. So far everything is working fine however we noticed the subwoofer was not working. In the back of the subwoofer there is a power cable that gets plugged into the wall. Then there is a subwoofer cable that is a standard rca composite. Then there is a 3rd input called System Connecter. If we plug in the old all-in-one dvd/receiver to the wall and then connect that system connecter cable from the sub to the unit the subwoofer turns on and works fine. There is no system conencter input/output on the yahama receiver.
How do we get the sub to work without having to connect that system conencter to anything at all?
Appreciate all the help in advance
