Hello,

I am website noob but am working on a small website. I created the website using frontpage and it looks fine on my PC at home.

Now my screen resolution at home is like 1280*1024. If I look at the website on a computer that has a resolution lower then that about 2 inches of the website disappear on the right hand side?

How do fix that using HTML Code or how would I fix it in general?

Thanks
Phil

design your site to fit a smaller resolution

or make it fluid, so it always fits

Odds are frontpage threw it all in a large frame. If you are going to leave it that way until you figure out how to do it properly, change the frames width from pixels to a percentage. Like from 1280px to 80%, or something similar, that would make it fluid and fit all screens.

But seriously, stay away from frontpage...

If you insist on using a WYSIWYG editor, Dreamweaver is probably not a bad bet. Many people prefer to look at the code, in which case you just want an editor with syntax highlighting. I like notepad++. Looking at source instead of WYSIWYG layout will teach you more, and you have more control over what's actually going on.

If you're just coding in HTML and CSS notepad.exe works great. If you're using other languages with it (like PHP) I like Dreamweaver because of the color codes.

You're going to have to sit down and learn the basics of html and css if you want to create a website that works.
