I need to do something that would REALLY stress my CPU, RAM, and VIDEO card.

It's 65 DEGREES! The heater is running, but it's not working, so I need to stress my comp. I've already OC'd my CPU and Video, so voltage is already set high (but at safe levels) but my system runs COLD.

I need a program that will stress all of these aspects. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Also I need it to run all night.

My roomate is gonna leave his running tonight encoding some vids, but it's an emachines so we're not gonna stress it.

If my computer dies no biggie, I'd rather risk it and be WARM!

THANKS! A! MILLION!

I'm going to take a hot shower.

Regards.

 I have a A64 3200 Newcastle But I can't look 3Dmark, you have to pay for that feature, and it doesn't seem to stress my CPU at all.

Get an earlier one - I know 3DMark2001 let you do it for sure.

As for the CPU, check into the DC forum and get SETI or something.

RTHDRIBL stresses out all components of a PC more than any other program I have found. As a side bonus, it's also fun to watch.

If you want to do something productive with all of the electricity you'll be using to turn your PC into a room heater, I'd recommend one of the cancer research projects on the Distributed Computing forum such as Rosetta@Home.

You know you can get a space heater for about $15, right?

Not allowed in dorms...

They got small ones you can't even see now... much easier to do

How many of you here would honestly leave your dorm at 11PM on at tues night to walk all the way to the stadium parking lot (about half a mile) to drive to wal-mart to buy a space heater, instead of doing some good by using SETI and look at cool graphics?

Question, what are the chances that my 6600 will survive tommorow morning at 63C, and my CPU will survive at 67C?

PS it's getting in warmer here.

Easy now, he's looking to heat the room, not burn the dorm down.

Seriously, I run an older Pentium 4 in my room and it's about 3 or 4 degrees warmer than the rest of the house all the time.

Instead of stressing the expensive parts of your PC, just pick up a cheap SCSI card and a few older high RPM drives... those throw off lots of heat and you won't break your PC... can get a long enough SCSI cable and internal power cabling, and you could sit them on your desk instead of putting them in your case!
