I am fine with him being impeached if there are hard evidence he committed impeachable offense. The fact remain you can't impeach someone just because one doesn't like his policy or if he is an asshole.
Putting aside that I'm not able to impeach anyone, Congress could impeach for just about anything. You should look into that rather than repeatedly espousing something that's incorrect.

And you're still brushing past the part where you admitted he has committed crimes, but somehow those crimes are... not "crimey" enough for you.

The thing, just because one dislike his policy, it is not ground for impeachment. You can hate him but I do not think he have done anything that is impeachable yet. Remember they try to impeach Clinton for lying under oath.

He was just implicated by his own lawyer in committing multiple federal felonies. He has admitted to felony obstruction of justice in order to impede criminal investigations into his associates on national television. What else do you need?

To the first part: why?
To the second, what needs to change? What, among what's out there, if it is proven, or confessed, would be something that would warrant impeachment for you?
Think of a Democrat president before you answer.

You mean like how I did not support the impeachment of Obama for “lying about Benghazi” or not enforcing politically inconvenient provisions of ACA, or Dubya fur “lying” about WMD in Iraq, or Clinton for lying under oath. Talk about impeachment is red meat for the stupid political masses of a party favor and not realistic politics or a desirable precedent to continue after the Clinton debacle. The threshold to convict in Senate is high enough anyway that it’s a pointless act.

In that case every single past president should have been impeached. Remember how Obama lie about how you can keep your health if you like it when he push for ACA? The reason why Clinton was nearly impeach is lying under oath.

Um... I don't think the comparisons are even close. You're trying to say all president's exaggerate and lie blatantly all the time so it's an impossible standard to meet, but that's simply not true. Heck just lower the bar to "hey don't lie about stuff you said on tape... last week" and Trump still wouldn't pass.

BTW, general incompetence is an impeachable offense. It doesn't have to be a crime.

Lying is a big deal. A CEO that lies to the board of directors gets fired. If you lie on your taxes, you go to prison. If you lie to your wife repeatedly, she may divorce you. I don't understand why people think its funny or something to overlook when the president lies about everything.

Being liar is not a crime. Lying under oath is. Obama lie a ton as well. Morally bankrupt maybe but not a crime.
Did Obama really lie a Ton? I dot recall him being known for lying. Was it the you will keep your doctor thing? That more equivalent to Bush saying read my lips... It isn't a lie if your hope something will happen in the future and it doesn't. What trump does is something internally more sinister. He is a pathological liar and likely a crook and should not be president. Anyone that thinks he is fit for office is an idiot.

I voted no. I prefer to wait until Mueller's investigation is over and have undeniable proof that trump should be impeached and sent to jail. I want Republicans to be in such a position that voting for anything other than impeachment would look like they support treason or are totally for corruption so long as it benefits them. Right now there is too much wiggle room for them to get out of voting to impeach.

I'm sure about impeachment but I'm not sure about effectively short-circuiting Mueller before he's ready. Either impeach him before Sept 4th (and good luck with that, it's Kavanaugh's hearing date) or go in with everything and the kitchen sink. We're not going after Enron, we're going after the Mob.

i think this is the most surefire route. let mueller work his investigative magic skills. anything less than a rock-solid case against POTUS is risky.

The ideal scenario IMO is that he gets put in check by a Dem Congress until he gets voted out in 20.
The voice of the People should be the ultimate arbiter.

Sure thing.

So I take it that you like the model of removing folks like Gray Davis in California, and want the Trump presidency and lots of other political careers to end the same way? Or how West Virginia is taking care of their supreme court with all those impeachments?

I have to admit, I'm curious (in a morbid way) to see how Trump reacts if and when the Democrats take control of the House, and potentially the Senate. He's already incapable of accomplishing much even with everything in his favor -- imagine what happens when Congress never, ever cooperates with him.

Well, don't you think there's a slim chance he "becomes" democrat then?

I want a traitor out of the White House. The sooner the better. If impeachment or the threat of it leads to him resigning I'm all for it.

I'm not one of the people who thinks Pence will do worse or as poorly because I actually believe His zealousy (<-- made up word) will be a perpetual stumbling block for him.

To be clear I'm not a street screamer for impeachment about everyone for every thing. Trump is a Traitor. He is a criminal. He is corrupt. He has no good intentions for America. He's entirely inept/incompetent. He's as dumb as if he were running the office decapitated like some people keep accusing Kathy Griffin of having done to him. Remarkable sure but .... Come On! He is actually a compulsive liar (mental illness levels), he's mental illness level greedy, he's mental illness level vengeful. There's more but I'm done...

I want him impeached. Traitors in the White House seems counterproductive to a functioning democracy.

Yes, just because Trump should be thrown out of office does not mean impeaching him now would do any good.

Poll needed a "not yet" option.

Tough to say. Trump has no values. He likes to promise everyone everything. But he spent so much time, after being nominated, cozying up to the Republican agenda, adopting their dog whistles, etc. I find it difficult to believe Trump would work with Democrats who have spent two years tearing him a new one on a daily basis. He surely hates them by now.

It'd take a real sweet talker to convince him that his interest is in getting things done. Instead of partisan bickering. And impeachment / charges against his family would have to be off the table. Or he'd surely choose to go down in a blaze of glory before all else.
