You can change where the lines are, but by default the yellow line is 650mb (74 min cd) and the red line is 700mb (80 min)

You will have to perform an "overburn". I have heard of people fitting over 750 MB on a 700 MB CD.

I have never tried it and do not profess to be an expert. Try Googling on Nero overburn.

cd quality can make a difference here when overburning, and there may be corruption at the end of the disc as well.
(nero 6)
You'll need to enable overburning, go to file > prefrences > expert features, and from here you can enable overburning. As the note says, overburning requires disc at once, not track at once.

After dragging files into window, go to file > compilation properties
Take a look at total data to be written. If it is very close to 700MB then you should be okay, with my burner/cds (plextor 2410a+taiyo yudens) I had a fixation error when burning a 725mb cd.

Feurio! has an excellent feature which lets you determine the exact amount that can be written to a disc. My best ones are about 93 minutes

Feurio is another burning programme, but it's exclusively for Audio CDs as far as I can tell.

These CDs were 90 minutes to begin with, so it's not as impressive as it sounds ;p

I got them off a friend who bought them for a few cents each in Taiwan, as far as I know. They're pretty hard to find in my country (New Zealand), but I'd guess there are tonnes of them available n the US...

Yes, there are 90 and 99-min CD-Rs, but they are a bit.. dodgy, to say the least. Most later-developed (more modern) CD-RW drives will support burning up to ~90min, and some even more. However, you may have to burn slower (at a CLV speed),and disable burn-proof, in order to burn past 90min. Also, those CDs wind the "spiral" of the CD much tighter, and so are rather out of spec. Many CD players may have trouble reading them. All-in-all, I don't personally think any CD-Rs longer than 80min are worth it. I've even had playback problems with 80min CD-Rs on some players too, so I keep a stash of 74min CD-Rs around too. (Those are getting *very* hard to find, too. )
