I'm lookng at getting a 9800pro from newegg. They have one by TYAN. Will this card be the same as the rest. It is one of the cheaper 9800 pros. With video cards does cheaper equal less performance? Also, what is meant by OEM. I see that for some of the video cards? Thanks

OEM means it doesn't have anything with it, no cables or software, just a card wrapped in bubblewrap and shipped to you.

Tyan is a great, solid company, they just chose the wrong chipset to manufacture for.

The tyan seems like a good cheap alternative, if you're lookin to save some bucks.

Ok, well they have one by Saphire about $20 cheaper that is OEM. Would Saphire be a better buy? Anther thing, can you return the OEM video cards to newegg if they are deffective?
