I was told the other day that is bad to have the cards in the computer spaced out. Anyone heard of this? Currently I have an empty slot between each of my PCI cards.
I never heard of it. Obviously, avoid Slot 1(the PCI slot immediately below your AGP slot) because of potential conflicts with your video card. You might want to check your mobo manual for your IRQ locations.
Well actually I like to leave space between my cards, as long as I can stay away from irq conflicts of course.
I figure the space will help keep them a bit cooler, even though it probably won't help noticable, it certainly couldn't hurt reliablility. Of course give your max o/c'd video card the widest berth possible. Then again, with those huge HSF's all over it, you haven't got much of a choice :]
