This would be for work. I'm looking for low carb/high protein. A mid morning or mid afternoon snack. MUST be low/no carbs. Can't eat a chicken breast and need something easily portable that I don't need to prepare at home. Low cal!

One of those 5-6oz packets (NOT from CAN) of premium tuna w/ Tabasco sauce and that would get me about 26-40gm of protein. I can wolf this down in about 5 minutes or less. Or a MetRx RTD 51 shake with 51gm of protein. I usually eat cottage cheese in the morning for breakfast, so don't want any more of that.

Any ideas?

well chicken breast without any uneatable parts attached in a tupperware is portable, then you just have to go to the bathroom, chomp down on it and wash yer hands. Or if you can use the bathroom handle with the back of the hand, you can eat in your cubicle and then go there without anointing the handle.
I sometimes eat mozzarella or cold cuts or smoked trout filet like this to avoid dirtying dishes, but I do it at home in the kitchen.

Anyway I don't see how canned tuna is easier to eat than chicken breast?

You could also carry your own cutlery and put it in the tupperware when you're done and they're dirty, the container just has to be long enough. This way you don't even need to wash your hands and can eat anything and the bag doesn't get dirty either since the grease is all sealed.

Anyway you might want to see how many calories smoked trout contains but it's really tasty and it's an animal so it might be an idea?

I also like swordfish but I don't think it tastes good cold.

Decent bresaola is probably the leanest cold cut existing, horse bresaola is especially tasty, but I think there's too much salt in it to eat a lot of it.

Justin's Nut Butters come in squeeze packs:

Easy 5g protein per pack. I keep them in my desk at work for when I'm crashing. 11g carbs, don't know if you'd consider that low or not.

I'm trying to find something with a little more protein and less carbs. If I can go up on my daily cal count, I might consider it though.

also in the OP I mentioned tuna. I meant the packets, not the canned version. Much higher quality and more expensive-ick.

Pretty much nothing except pure animal protein.

A can of tuna has about 36g. An egg has 6g so you'd have to take 5 of them. Ham slices have 6g so you'd have to again eat 5 slices of ham.

Hammer shakes. I can't eat all the time and I already spend enough on food as it is.

100% whey protein shake with water. Tastes like balls but that'll get you want you asked for.

Bag of roasted and salted peanuts. Or try bringing a zip lock bag of almonds or walnuts.

Make a few pounds of bacon on Sunday and bring in a few strips in tinfoil every day.

As tasty as bacon is, it's mostly fat. Not the greatest protein source. Not a slam on bacon, that's just how it is.

Lately I've been doing a whey shake with 50g protein, 5g fiber, and 10g creatine every morning, then eat some kind of breakfast (I make a big egg scramble on the weekend and have that throughout the week) for an easy 70-80g of protein early in the day. Other stuff I keep around is tuna, carnitas (from Trader Joe's, not sure if available in your area though), and kipper snacks in olive oil. Hard boiled eggs are good in a pinch.

Peanuts, almonds, and a lot of other nuts should fit the bill. I don't have their nutritional values but that's what I usually snack on. They are much easier to prepare/bring than meat-based snack. There are also canned tuna but I prefer going without the salt & oil these usually come with.

I just saw these liquid protein gels from New Whey. 42 grams in a 4oz vial with different flavors. Pretty compact and its made of Whey protein. Would you try this? I know animal protein is better, but how much better than Whey protein?

For a 'snack' with high protein I usually have a MetRX RTD drink. 270cal 7carbs and 51g of protein. I think its great bang for the buck, but its not animal protein.

Tried these, they honestly where the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted.
