Quick, what is the quietest, yet good fan for an XP CPU

I need to know quickly so I apologize for not just searching thru the forum I'm sure its been posted before. Its for an XP2100 if that matters.

I would agree, it keeps my XP 1700 Palomino at about 42c with a crappy $5 heatsink with half the cooling grease worn away. (Im to lazy to replace it. )

the panaflo L1A's are great if you don't need to adjust the fan speed or if you don' t have to deal with hot summers. I'd go with the YS-Tech adjustable, I just ordered one

I'm not an expert or anything, but my Artic Cooling Slim Silent Pro runs very quite and is pretty cheap. I have it on an XP2100

I have a YS-Tech Silent 80mm (27CFM, 20dBa), and it cools my XP1800 excellently, while being quiet as well.

What heatsink are you using? Cos different fans will work better on different Heatsinks.

i am using one of these panaflo on top of a swiftech mcx4000 heatsink. it's a very quiet fan and keeps my cpu very cool (32C idle and 40C load). i also use them for my case (22C).

the questest fan suitable for you depends on what you consider is an acceptable temperature, the temp/airflow in your case and the heatsink on your cpu. Generally for quietest cpu air cooling with low temps you're probably looking at a SLK800 with the panaflo (thats a heavy and expensive HSF though). Roughly speaking, go for a big copper heatsink that supports a 80mm fan.

I have the YS-Tech Silent that i mentioned on a SLK-800, and i get sub 40*c temps all the while
