Quick WOW Question

So I just bought the battle chest, and am looking forward to playing WOW for the 1st time. The box came w/ two guest passes, and two disc w/ keys. the guest passes are good for 10 days it seems. The question is, can I activate one of the guest passes and then after my free ten days put in the key from the disc? 10 free days os 10 free days.

Also, anyone have any links to a concise beginners guide? thanks!

I don't think so. They guest passes are made to be used as trials and I'm not sure you can use more than one trial per account. You could probably use one and then upgrade that account to your full account using the CD keys.

Note that a some of wowwiki (mostly game mechanics, spells, builds etc.) is out of date, as far as I remember, unless someone took the time to revise it.

Play the guest pass, at the end of the 10 days apply the game key to the account and you are all set.

dont quote me. but i believe u can use them in conjuction. like use the trial. then apply the account key. it worked for me. it would add the days at the end.

Yes apply the guest pass, then after it expires upgrade using your CD keys that came witht he game. Just remember that you will be severly limited in your interactions with other players during the trial.

well.. once you activate the trial then your cd-key. it bumps you into registered member status, and you'll have all the capabilities as anyone else

Doesn't the battle chest come with 2 guides?

If you haven't figured most of WoW out by level 5 you need help.

I started playing with a 10 day trial and got fed up with the restrictions so I upgraded my account after 2 days, so I got what was left of my trial plus the free month for upgrading, I think this is the best course of action.

I thought the original WoW came with a free 30 days.

It does.

The topic at hand is maximizing the # of days given by using the 10 day free trial key PLUS your normal 30 day key.

It seems like the answer is you can get 40 days without any problems.

My first character was a Tauren hunter. I could not figure out how to use a bow, i just thought I was stuck using a gun. Got the character to 26, stopped and tried another - then i stumbled across a weapons trainer.

yeah me being someone who played wow beta and bought it at release had to learn alot of crap the hard way. Now its all documented for you. Just follow directions or you can even use programs to play for you lol...

such a wonderfull game... take that box back asap

btw, the free 30 days was sweet... I decided it was a keeper from this... first time a "trial" actually worked as intended for me.
