I got the item as ordered today. I immediately mail the business reply post card for the free turbo tax 2000 Deluxe. I will keep you post if I ever receive it.

So you send in the coupon for the TT deluxe CD. When it arrives, it should also contain a rebate form (for the State version). You need to purchase the State version and send in the request for the rebate. Is that it?

I ordered this and notice that somewhere else I saw a release version 2. I don't care as you can update to get any changes they may have had to the program. I wonder if release 2 has TT already included and that is why this one is $19?

Gee...just a thought, now that I ordered it, I ASSUME this is the windows version and not the MAC!

I have bought from Direct Deals before and know they are legit. This is a good deal for the TurboTax Deluxe if you can afford to wait (I've got more time than money). I'll sell the Quicken (can you say "mint in case"?)

Has anyone used Quicken 2001 deluxe? I read customer reviews at Amazon.com. It's pretty bad. There are numerous bugs in the software. Maybe that's why it's so cheap.

You can download the patch from its website. I'm not sure that'll fix all the bugs.

Any feedback?

Still waiting on my order to be shipped! I ordered it on January 16th, and it is still in the "Manifest Pickup" status on UPS website.
I contacted UPS and they said "Customer Manifest Received
or Shipment Data Received scans indicate the shipper transmitted
their shipping record electronically to UPS. This does not necessarily
indicate the date the parcel was physically picked up by UPS
from the shipper's location. To verify your parcel was shipped
as scheduled, please contact your shipper."

I have sent at least 2 emails to 9software and they still haven't responded. Has anyone else had this problem? You might think twice before ordering from them in the future.

I ordered on 1/25 and it has been picked up and sent to PA. It is supposed to be here 2/2.

I have not had a problem.

A quick follow-up note:

As I mentioned before, I ordered and received this Suite deal.

On 1/19 I mailed the postcard for TurboTax Deluxe.
On 1/25 I received e-mail from Intuit confirming my order.
On 1/26 it shipped from Intuit via US Mail.

I thought that was pretty timely on their part.

UPDATE(s)

9software now lists it at $18. Did get it and sent TT coupon in.

Called Intuit rebate center and they said to send them the invoice, and show copy of disk package. For Suite you do NOT need to show previous ownership!

They will send $20!!!

CALL rebate line first and get address to send your invoice to. He told me a lot of online dealers are no longer sending box as it costs too much shipping. So you do not need flap from a box we don't get!

My father is the UPS contractor here in Nome and I can guaruntee you it was picked up. UPS runs a extrememly sloppy opperation and loses packages on a regular basis. We are both very disgusted on how they operate and because of that alot of packages get lost. If a pick-up manifest was issued, it was indeed picked up. I would recommend you start contacting UPS more often.

I got a very &quot;skimpy&quot; receipt from 9software. Did anyone else get something that looked more official? Do you think Intuit will still give the rebate with the &quot;skimpy&quot; receipt?

Go to the 9software site and under the &quot;customer service&quot; click on order status. There you can see a order form and print it out.

Has anybody received the turbo Tax 2000 portion from Intuit yet?
I got an email telling me that my copy is on the way. That email was sent on Feb 1. I am still waiting for the actual software.

Yep, got mine 5 days after they sent me an email.

The pain in the a$$ is that you have to buy TurboTax State, then claim the money back from them as a rebate.

I think I'll play it safe, print their page, then bring it to my local Staples B&amp;M. I'll have to look at the new add b/c sometimes you get tons of software when you combine Quicken with some tax software. I'll let you know how it goes.
