For what it is worth, I posted the deal but couldn't do it myself.
The day before I got the email from Quicken, I purchased and installed the download version from Amazon. That was the best deal at that point in time.
I felt that I had to do the upgrade soon because I was using Quicken 2007 to download info from my my financial instistutions and I knew that Quicken was going to drop that capability in 4/2010. Annoying. I should have waited one more day. But....
Also, if you are thinking of upgrading to Quicken 2011 next year, remember that for the past 5 years Quicken new version first releases in September or so have been very buggy. They tend to corrupt data in existing versions. Don't even think of upgrading until they release the R2 or R3 patches.
Quicken 2010 is now up to R4 and is safe to use.
Just remember if you just got Quicken 2010 to let it upgrade itself to R4 before using it for the first time.
First, "Thanks OP!" for letting us know about the great deal on Quicken directly from Intuit.
For those who want to go with the Amazon deal, you could consider using the download option for both products to get them for $124.91:
