quickest way to set up a web site

I have done the drupal route before but I need to basically click/copy/paste etc. I may use the site to host my portfolio of projects and resume also. I seem to remember not hosting the site with the same place I register my domain name so I am not held hostage to that host forever. Should I use godaddy or is there someone cheaper out there? TIA

Namecheap claims that: "If you want to transfer your domain to another registrar or another namecheap user, we don't charge you any fees either." Should I still use a separate host Vinyl?

It doesn't matter if you use a separate host with them. As long as they charge no fees (they don't) you can always switch from their hosting in the future fairly easily.
