Quiestest 400-450watt PSU? Probably not the Enermax "Whisper"...

Can anyone point me in the direction of a reasonably priced, 400 to 450 watt power supply that is uber quiet? I initially thought eh Enermax Whisper EG465P would be great, but everyone comments on how loud it is so back to the drawing board...

Has anyone done bulk reviews on power supplies recently?

Zalman's PSUs kick ass. I think they make a 400W model. However, since it's actually a *quality* PSU, you might not need 400W. I've gotten better results out of my 300W OCing 1.6a NW and now my current setup (see sig) with it thatn my 350W Enermax "Whisper" (VE-365-something I think was the model.)

Get an allied 450W true for $40, then get some 18DBA 80MM NMB fans from svc.com to replace the ones the allied comes with. Viola, a PSU as good as antec/enermax with dead silent noise.

its better to get a quality power supply.

check out PC Power and Cooling they have some quiet power supplies.

Seasonic's Active PFC power supplies rival Zalman's in quality. Out of the box, Zalman is probably quieter, but SilentPCReview's tests suggest that Seasonic is more efficient, meaning it produces less heat. This means you can change to a quieter fan w/out causing any problems. I'm using a Panaflo @5V in my Seasonic 300W APFC unit. Some details in this thread (you'll need to scroll down a bit.)
