Quiet Case

what would be the best/quietest case that i could get.

im in the beggining phase of putting together a new system but i gotta have it quiet...and its for gaming too. Cheers

one is a full system build. They also reccomend case fans, HSFs and quiet PSUs.

That's a good link but their site is down at the moment. They must be working on it.

Ditto on that. Once the site's back up, click "Recommended" on the left nav.

P150 has both suspension and regular HD mounts, I haven't had any problems with my suspension cables (knock on wood). PSU that comes with it still has some incompatibility problems with a few Asus motherboards

P180 is their most highly recommended but from numerous posts on this forum looks to be a PITA to set up if you're not used to building your own cases.

FYI with a little modding and the right fan choices you can make a $20 case nearly silent.

Do some research, and make your own decision, I'm sure you'll be happy with whatever case you pick up.

I just move my components to a Lian Li PC-V2100B Plus case. I was amazed at all the sound proofing that is incorporated in the case. After I fired up my rig after the move, I was very happy with the noise suppression.

Light weighted case and alminum isn't good for quitet purpose.
Steel material is best for silent PC though alminum is beautiful.

P180 uses aluminum side panels while still being fairly dense; best of both worlds.

Generally, I agree that aluminum is noisier than steel BUT...
In the case of the P180, the side panels are multilayer, with noise-absorbing material wedged in between layers. As a result, you can't compare it to just any aluminum case. Furthermore, I bet the multilayer P180 approach *is* quieter than most steel cases - and I'm sure you can find lots of benchmarks on the web to prove it to yourself.

Antec P180 a great case and lots of fun to build. It gives so may options on fans and where to put stuff. If you like to tinker and even if you don't a great case and a good company that stands behind their products.
