Quieter Fan

Been using the OCZ Gladiator for about a year now, but it's starting to get to me. It was fine in a college dorm room but back at home the noise is too much. I've been looking at the Taisol fans at Newegg but I was wondering about the best route to take. Should I keep the copper HS and just get a new 80mm fan ? I know that my temps will rise but they're great now, I'm just tired of my comp sounding like a wind tunnel and having to crank up the speakers to drown it out. Thanks for any advice.

Can't hurt to try another 80mm fan. Look for one with decent airflow and noise level... if nothing else you'll have a spare case fan if it doesnt work out...

with such a good heatsink you could use a more quiet fan. I'm running a 1.2 ghz t-bird@1.42, 1.88 v with a thermaltake ax-7 and a quiet papst 26 cmf, 20 db fan. Temps stay at 52-53 C when doing rc-5, room temp is 25 C

It's pretty hard to beat 27cfm @ 21dBA for only $7.99. They've also got about the lowest price on AS 3 you can find anywhere.
