Quieting down a noisy one...

So for the first time in a long time I bought new guts for my computer. Right now I'm interested in quieting it down while maintaining an adequate level of cooling. Overclocking is not in the plans at the moment.

Processor is a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T with a stock AMD cooler, on a Asus Crosshair IV formula with a SSD, all installed in a relatively old Lian Li PC-V1000 case that has 2 similarly old 120mm fans installed.

First off I'd like to attack the CPU fan as it sounds like a turbine spinning at an obnoxious frequency once it warms up. Upgrading the Case fans will go hand in hand with that. The Video card is loud as well but I'll be attacking that later since I haven't upgraded it yet (waiting for next AMD/ATI refresh). Same goes for the PSU, which I don't want to upgrade until I decide on a video card.

So for CPU fan quieting: I like the idea of using a H50/70 in a single fan setup for what I'm trying to do since it would basically eliminate the CPU fan as it replaces one of the case fans. I'm assuming the pump itself will be significantly quieter than the stock AMD fan I have in there.
That said, I've seen in several places that the default fans on the H50/70 aren't the greatest for noise/performance so I was looking at replacing it with one of a couple Noctua fans that I've heard good things about.

The corsair fans are about 50 CFM (85 m^3/hour) and Noctua has a couple 120mm options that can be set up in close to that flow range: NF-P12 (Higher Pressure, louder) and NF-S12B FLX (Lower pressure, quieter). Data sheets for reference below:
http://www.noctua.at/pdf/infosheets/noctua_nf_p12_en.pdf
http://www.noctua.at/pdf/infosheets/noctua_nf_s12b_flx_en.pdf

So Here are the Q's:
1) Is a single fan H50 sufficient for cooling the above CPU?
2) Can a H70 be used in a single fan setup?
3) Would the H70 with it's thicker heat exchanger be more efficient than an H50 in terms of noise in a single fan setup? Or would it require a fan with higher pressure (more Noise) to reach the same efficiency?
4) Does anyone know what sort of pressure level the fan would need to hit to get effective flow rates through a H50/H70? i.e: would the FLX fan above in either standard or LNA be sufficient, or should I play it safe and go with the higher pressure model?

Thanks

1) H50 will be fine, Get a Scythe GentleTyphoon fan ~1450 RPM for quiet and good cooling
2)H70 is just an H50 with a much thicker rad, and upgraded pump and 2 included fans. They aren't that noisey at all (just installed one), but switching them to GTs will be quieter for sure
3)H70 should cool better for the same noise.
4)Any fan with good static pressure to go through the rad. The Gentle Typhoons are usually the most highly recommended when it comes to static pressure and quiet operation

1. The H50 will be fine with that CPU
2. I wouldn't recommend using one fan on the H70. You will get better cooling with 2 fans. You can always swap out the stock fans for some Scythe Gentle Typhoons or Kama Flow2.
3. The H70, from what I have read will give you about 5-6c cooler temps than a H50.
4. I would go with a high static pressure fan.
