Personally I think the site is a cover for the quiznos corp. to scam ad money out of their desperate franchise owners.

i'll never forget the Quiznos glory days when their subs were expensive but absolutely huge and quite worth the $ IMO.

also, their broccoli & cheddar soup was to die for but they were almost always out even when the damn soup sign was up.

they lowered their prices but shrunk the size of their subs. at that point the taste simply couldn't justify the $10, what with all the cheap & decent fast food options out there.

also - insert obligatory comment about being jealous of the staggering amount of US fast food choices compared to Canada. I guess I should be happy Quiznos was ever here in the first place.

yes, but if im in the mood for a nice steak sub, a burrito just isnt going to cut it.

I miss Togo's BBQ beef sandwiches.

All the Togo's near me have closed. The next nearest one changed the recipe for their BBQ beef and it is awful. One I went to a few years ago dropped BBQ beef altogether and replaced it with BBQ chicken - yuck.

their downfall is the profit margin to the franchise owner. a franchise owner is doing good if he can net about 75k / year.

now call me stupid but i would never invest $200k or so just to net what amounts to a modest salary per year.

if a franchise owner cannot realistically see between 150k to 200k per year, why would they want to invest so much money?

but i guess a lot of them did do that, and now they are all getting out.

This is so true. I have seen the exact same scenario in my area as well. The nearest Quiznos is like 20 minutes away now because of them all going out of business. Shoot, even by my work the Quiznos went out of business and I always went there!

Yup too expensive. Plus Subway was able to jack up their prices as a result of Quiznos overpricing their sandwiches by such a large margin. So even though there was competition there, Subway probably didn't eat it so bad as they were able to raise their profit margins. They even started toasting their subs too, lol. Other then the "gourmet ingredients" that's the only other thing Quiznos had going for them.
Lately, fast food prices have been getting ridiculous. Seems like every time I hit a McDick's the prices of their food have gone up. So you're paying more for the same thing. I just can't justify it anymore. Been hitting the company cafeteria when possible. They've got decent prices.

Actually I don't think its too expensive for most people, simply too expensive for what you get, which is lots of bread and skimpy toppings. They taste good but the sandwiches just aren't worth paying nearly as much as they charge, and probably above all things, I hate to be overcharged.

I don't know how your Quizno's does it, but I like mine. Lots of meat/chicken in there with plenty of dressing/sauce.

Unfortunately I've never gotten a quiznos sandwich with plenty of anything except toasted bread.

They did exact thing where I lived in FL. Approximatly 1 mile from my condo was a grocery store with shops and resteraunts, uncluding a Quiznos. Just before I moved away a new Quiznoes opened out in front of my condo. I don't know how they expect to stay in business. The town doesn't have enough people to support two so close together.

Meh, way too many far better quality & quantity mom & pop shops around here to even interest me into going to Quizno's / Subway / D'Angelo / etc. If you're ever out this way, try Lucky's or Beefmaster (yes that is the name) in North Billerica, Goodies in Chelmsford, Highland's, Conrad's, Jimmy's, Jillie's, etc. in Lowell. All these places are like $6 MAX for a killer loaded sub & chips & soda.
