I've been using cable for years but qwest dsl launched very nice new contract free offers so I decided to give it a try.
So I got the actiontec m1000 modem/router from qwest. I wanted to use it purely as a modem and then use my own router so I set it up using bridged mode and put in my login information to my router(dlink di624) set for pppoe. This worked for about a day then the connection started disconnecting and reconnecting every 30-60 seconds, I googled it, and found apparently that DSL modem with the dlink di624 has a problem with doing that.
Long story short I want to have the pppoe login happen on the actiontec router again, so I try and reset it to defaults with the reset button on the back, the reset button seems to restart the modem, but not reset the settings on the modem. The modem is setup using the usual web login like any off the shelf router has which will not work while it's in bridge mode to the best of my knowledge(being it won't assign itself an ip address).
So after all that I just want to know how to reset everything to defaults like a normal router reset switch would on the actiontec m1000.
Also, if anyone knows any solutions to the dlink router + modem issue it'd be great if you could share.
