Wel I have been playing with this thing for the last few days. I had to get the more expensive freezone becasue the eliminator is actually only rated for 125w which is just a quad core at stock or a dual core with a 10%vcore OC and around 3.5ghz....The freezone gives me 175w of heat dissapation. I am pushing to the edge of that now.
I can tell you high or low seems to make little difference as I cannot detect a measurable increase in noise or fan speed. Overall it is fairly quiet. Still trying to figure ways to mod it for a 100cfm 120mm fan. that will be coming soon.
First things is my Asus P5B-deluxe is a different beast then my DS3 mobo. IN some things it is better like the NB temps, power regulation, stability with fsb and quad cores, etc. hoiwever this board will not give me the full ratio of multipliers like I could get with the DS3 and should get since it is an extreme and ES chip.
Ambient room temp was 22c
All idle temps are taken 10minutes after bootup.
All load temps are taken after 30-60min of 4core loading with F@H (4 instances)
All temps are measured with Asus Probe, coretemp (TAT has confirmed to be identical)

Going to order an adjustable 120x120x38mm fan with a 120 to 92mm converter and see if more cooling of the coolits HS will help. Coolit does not have a radiator but has something similar to a HS and the tECs are off to one side...They can get very warm.
