We’ll get over this, either next election cycle or the one after that.
It will hurt but that makes us stronger

We hope. The very real concern is that Republicans' efforts to rig elections and create a mindlessly loyal base have effectively instituted one-party rule, since they may need dramatic shifts in public perception in states that are unlikely to bend. I mean, these are people who will see Trump tell obvious, easily disproven lies and won't even blink... how do you convince them to think for themselves in enough numbers to oust Trump and the GOP?

No we will not.

What we saw today was the start of the unraveling of the American thread. Politicians will do nothing. And political views are set in stone now. Those who care only about Trump and hating gays, liberals, immigrants vs those who care about equality guaranteed by the constitution of the country.

Within 10 years I would not be surprised if there are 6 different countries in the USA each based on different regions and different political beliefs.. much like what happened with Yugoslavia.

The only TBD thing is if it happens violently or peacefully.

Maybe Trump is planning on creating a new Alliance with Russia and North Korea and dump NATO. Europe has become soft we align ourselves with countries that have strong leaders and take over europe and divide the spoils. I bet if US/Russia/NK get together we can take over the soft european belly. They barely have a military since they relied on our free services. It would be a cake walk and think of all the resourced we get.

We split Germany in half, Russia gets East and we get the West, Give NK half of Poland, we carve France in 3 pieces etc..

We couldn't even make money in Iraq, a country floating on a sea of oil.

I'm less worried about America than I am about random eastern European countries. Those poor bastards are gonna have a rough decade or two.

His options are kinda limited. The Baltic nations or Poland aren't going to be some cakewalk like Crimea. When I say they hate the Russians I don't think the our American concept of hate really covers the depth of hostility.

It must be very hard for the left right now. On one hand they have their seemingly sincere belief that Trump has committed treason. On the other they can’t trouble themselves to act against said treason or even lift a finger against it except for perhaps protesting or posting something on Facebook. The left also has neither the weapons nor inclination to even defend themselves should the alt-right decide to go all Krisrallnatch on them as they fear.

When they can’t convince the right to “fix” things for them, they’ll just throw up their hands and cite collective action problem as always.

The South started the Civil war better armed, we have greater numbers and greater industry.
Now I need to apologize for sinking to such an idiotic level.

Suggesting fellow countrymen die in a revolution is very Patriotic of you Glenn
I salute your idiocy.

Maybe not. This is different.
We have not only Trump, but this time an entire branch of government aligned with criminal activity. Involved with collusion by doing nothing. Involved with discrediting our sacred government institutions in defense of Donald Trump.
Richard Nixon DID NOT have this. An entire branch of US government involved in criminal activity to defend Richard Nixon.
If Nixon had, he would never have been impeached and thus never forced to resign.
Yes, THIS IS DIFFERENT.

Much damage can be, has been, and will be done in the meantime even if the election process should correct this in 2018 or 2020. which is doubtful given Trump republicans now have or soon will have an US Supreme Court to join in this criminal activity. Criminal activity in defending Donald Trump.

For republicans, this is a high price to pay just for securing an extremist far right US Supreme Court. Which by the way is what this is all about.
Republicans are willing to pay the price while also destroying America.
I suppose those Trump republican enablers won't understand the price until the Soviets take down our entire electronic infrastructure, or gain access into our voting machines, or more so dictate to us the world order as envisioned by Vladimir Putin.

As they say, all roads lead back to Rome.
What happens within America come the future, our demise, our self destruction, will point directly back to what took place in 2016.

Poor Glenn, his man commits treason and all he can do is post gibberish about lefties. Some days it's hard to be a fascist fuck.
