Doesn't appear likely. AMD said they are coming soon when someone asked if they are delayed they said no. AMD never gave a date yet though, the 15th was picked out of some slides but wasn't the official date. Speculation is the 18th, 24th or the end of the month. Before BF4 anyways.
Hilbert H, admin of guru3d says no review this week.
AMD/ATi always up to their bulldozer [redacted].
So it's AMD's fault that the hyperbole of the internet predicted the wrong release date? The wrong date for NDA's expiring?
I'd like to see the link to the official statement from AMD about today being the day for reviews and launch of the 290/290x.
After their fake launch-like-event and fake pre-order, I'm supposed to trust these people?

Trust no one! Not even yourself as your human and humans tend to make bad decisions, judgment calls based on their current needs. Most people don't look at the long term effect of todays choice.
There is viral marketing from both those who favor AMD and NVidia on these forums.
I don't quite remember a GPU launch in YEARS that had an imminent launch yet nobody knew what the imminent launch date was. I have a feeling that AMD is either stupid (I hope they learned lessons from the 7970 launch as they claim to have....) or they don't want NV to know jack. I really don't know. I can see valid opinions on both sides of this - I can see them trying to prevent a "1-up" from nvidia with a better price/perf 770ti (versus the 290 non X) or perhaps a GTX 790. Perhaps price cuts, which NV could definitely do to make AMD look bad if the launch had been on the 15th (with the NV Montreal event on the 17th). On the other hand, maybe AMD is just stupid. AMD management/marketing has been stupid once, twice, or several thousand times (last answer is correct)
I hope the card is 550-600$ (as channel pricing seems to be ATM) while trading blows with Titan and OC's well on air. If that happens, as far as i'm concerned, all is forgiven for the stupidest GPU launch in the past 5 years. If they price it at 700$+, I will join many others in snubbing AMD in the strongest terms.
Wild shot in the dark... they're trying to squeeze more gains out of a last minute driver for BF4 and which they will insist reviewers use.Baffled myself why they did not launch today though. Reviewers have had the cards a week now and they are still not launching.

I cant imagine worse timing in releasing new GPUs if they were not to include at least some indication of performance in a major game due out at almost the same time. I would think AMD already has the final and knows how it will perform on their cards.BF4 won't even be in launch reviews, will it? The beta is set to end and the release for BF4 is on the 28th. The rumor for 290X is the 24th, although with the way things have been going lately...I could see that end up not being the case...

This holiday, DICE will unwrap the next generation of all-out warfare with Battlefield 4. That means best-in-class multiplayer is coming to PlayStation 4 with huge 64-player battles running at a smooth 60 frames-per-second.

Guessing the 290/290x won't have any issue running the game.
