Not in Battlefield 2 it doesn't.Funny how it slightly beats the 8800 in every single test by just a bit

The massive amount of google ads makes me think that this is some kind of moneymaking scheme.
Thanks.
I won't bother clicking it, who knows what else is loading onto your computer from that site.
or your could use some firefox extension. adblocks takes care of the ads, no script, and no flash (don't remember name) remove other problems
I think it's more likely that he doesn't want to read about the possiblity of the Nvidia 8800GTX being beaten by the R600 than being worried about a tracking cookie.
If there'd been anything malicious on the site I'm sure somebody here would've noticed it and warned everyone by now.

No, I am actually thanking him for warning everyone to not click on a worthless link.

As for the GTX being beaten by the R600.......I will have to check Newegg to see how much a "R600" is selling for.

I suppose it's worthless to somebody who lives, eats and breathes Nvidia. But to the rest of us who like to have choices, it's potentially valuable information.

I was talking only about performance which is why I said "beaten", not "being outsold by". As you very well know, the R600 isn't supposed to be out until the end of this month.

The site was created on December 26.....yeah....that sounds real.
No pictures. No real proof. Nothing but made up text. I guess if you are desperate you are willing to believe anything.

Thing is if its so fake then why did Kristopher and all his dailytech team stick behind this review. This is bothering me and others who have grown to trust and read dailytech.
I was a little surprised, too, but I have faith in Dailytech. Let's not forget it was them who was the first to disclose the 128 unified shader architect, and much of G80's specs back in October.

Yeah , i think the same .
Any rumors about next generation 8800GTS equivalent or maybe ATI just gonna launch a R600 against the 8800GTX ?
My ATi card's driver can scale all kinds of different widescreen resolutions without stretching them to fit the screen.I'm currently using an ATI chip but I'm finished with them unless they address the following items..
- Wide screen support where 1:1 pixel scaling doesn't get passed on to the panel.

Kristopher Kubick:
The specs we have are from three weeks ago. We stopped publishing GPU roadmaps because the manufacturers change the numbers so often. Some of our information doesn't line up with theirs -- we were told the GDDR3 version was not even going to ship.

LOL! Now you are really reaching. Why not post pictures of the card and screenshots of the driver etc. You could photochop the pics in about 2 seconds to hide any identifying marks.Originally posted by: tanishalfelven
maybe a ew site was created to hide his identity. ever think of that smart guy.

Hmm...Then you have a panel that doesn't auto-scale (stretch) 4:3 and 5:4 ratios. For people that have these types of panels though, ATI simply doesn't work. Nvidia on the other hand inserts black bars at the driver level to preserve the image ratio. ATI's method is to let the monitor decide what it wants to do with the image, which means auto-stretch in certain cases.

All I know is that widescreen resolutions are pretty much the only thing that scale right with ATi's drivers and my panel. 4:3 and 5:4 ratios, not so much.

Supreme Commander is DX10?

Yes, there will be an option that one can enable for DX10 mode (granted they have a DX10 system).

Some said numbers don't match other review site scores. Since there seems to be AMD employees involved in this review. The test were likely done with AMD processors . Almost all reviews were done using Intel processors on the 8800gtx. The amd processors using the 8800gtx at these res. Are quite abit lower than Intel processor numbers. So they are actually very close to being correct.

They were using a kensfield overclocked at 3.2ghz
