You don't think it is odd to make an official announcement about preorders starting while in the same announcement telling your customers that you won't be announcing a PRICE, final specs or performance numbers for weeks?

It was not properly set up but why are you focusing on that? Reviews will pop up soon and i believe you wanna save your breath to argue it's flaws once that happens (then you'll have solid data to criticize all you want)

I don't think anyone is trolling about the odd release, just stating a fact or observation.

The 'messy' announcement just makes the atmosphere that much more confused pre-launch. If we have a clear release date and NDA, then it usually becomes easier to sift through all the leaked 'crap' that may or may not be legitimate.

Definitely waiting for the release, whenever that is.

And if slower mentions of Mantle?

The way I see it though, I doubt there will be any G-Sync equipped monitors I actually want to buy (1600p or higher res, 120Hz non-TN) until right around the next update cycle. Likewise, by the time 20nm GPUs hit we'll know better if Mantle and/or Trueaudio really matter or not.

For the moment, it's probably wise not to give either feature much consideration unless you're seriously pinning for an upcoming Frostbyte powered game.
