Oland was a sure one to be rebranded in the low end, no surprise there.

If the 370 is a Pitcairn rebrand, then the question will be, what wont be a rebrand.

Not to burst your bubble but look at your chart again. Your gpu-z shot lists pitcairn at 6811. Ok, sure. In your chart it lists 6811.x as both 370 and R9 200 series. This already kills your post. But lets take it a step further. Is an actual pitcairn product listed in your list? YEP and it's just two lines down at 6818.2 as the 7800 series. We all know that the 7800 series is pitcairn.

Also, just google pitcairn gpu-z and look through the images, you'll see all sorts of device IDs.

OEM bottom of the barrel doesn't really indicate much about AIB products in and of itself. It is kind of funny that there may be this situation where Kaveri IGP OEM boxes support FreeSync but ones with these add in GPUs do not. Although kind of mute unless 1080P FreeSync monitors with VRR ranges starting at ~20 FPS show up, as the IGP wouldn't even be able to output at the start of most announced monitors resolution and VRR starting range.

What on earth are you mumbling about?
It says R9 200 because its R9 270. Which is Pitcairn

Each GPU can go from xxxx.1 all the way up to xxxx.12 or whatever.
7670 for example have like 6 entries, some under a different name. Still the same GPU. Its called rebrand

This throws out every positive rumor about the 300 series and basically confirms that it'll be almost entirely rebrands, and makes it extremely likely that Fiji will compete more with GM204 than GM200... *sigh* Both AMD and Nvidia have failed me this year, so I guess I'm stuck with my 7950 for another year. I mean, I could buy a 290, but I don't know...

We still have to see the 380 and 390. But everything below is rebrands.

Yeah, the GTX 980 is only 60-75% faster than the old GTX 680 I'm using. It's hard to convince myself to buy a new card when 9xx is still less than a 100% jump.

I hope both companies figure out how to get a die shrink to work soon, so 2016 gives us more than performance tweaks.

Pitcairn ?!

That's just sad ...
Pitcairn would be really unfortunate. It's AMD's workhorse GPU, but it lacks support for 4K H.264, never mind HEVC. From a feature standpoint it launched over 3 years ago and lacks all the new features and abilities added since then; it's just getting old.

I never cease to be amazed at what it takes for some people to be happy

AMD would not be so silly (as some of you want them to be) for them to rebrand an architecture that isn't competitive against Maxwell.. to compete against Maxwell for another year or two.

Low end OEM stuff, sure. But not 370+ class performance.

Wasn't long ago it's going to be Trinidad as the 370/X class.
http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=37241323&postcount=1

The info is taken from AMDs own 15.3 driver. You can download and check yourself. The 370 and everything below is a rebrand. There is no 380 or 390 in it yet.

370=Pitcairn
360=Bonaire
350 and down=Oland

So the 300 series in the driver would have to be some kind of hoax not to be true.

You know what the decimals mean?

XFX datasheet seems to think their 370/X card is from Trinidad PRO/XT.

Edit: Apparently April launch, pretty soon we can put the rumors to rest. If its a rebrand, AMD will make themselves irrelevant for GPUs like their CPUs have been for years.

Its just a version.

Lets look on the 370.

"%AMD6810.1%" = ati2mtag_R575, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6810&REV_00
"%AMD6811.1%" = ati2mtag_R575, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6811&SUBSYS_0B001028&REV_81
"%AMD6811.2%" = ati2mtag_R575, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6811&REV_00

The chip is the same R575. Ids under and over matches the 270. Note I only posted 3, there are too many to post for Pitcairn.

The info that device manager would show:
AMD6810.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 200 Series"
AMD6811.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 370"
AMD6811.2 = "AMD Radeon R9 200 Series"

Same applies for the 360 for example. Its the R505 chip, a less used chip:
"%AMD6658.1%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6658&SUBSYS_293C1462
"%AMD6658.2%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6658
"%AMD665C.1%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_29321462
"%AMD665C.2%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_29341462
"%AMD665C.3%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_293B1462
"%AMD665C.4%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_8770148C
"%AMD665C.5%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_9260148C
"%AMD665C.6%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C&SUBSYS_9260174B
"%AMD665C.7%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665C
"%AMD665D.1%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665D
"%AMD665F.1%" = ati2mtag_R505, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_665F&SUBSYS_0B041028&REV_81

AMD6658.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 260"
AMD6658.2 = "AMD Radeon R7 200 Series"
AMD665C.1 = "AMD Radeon HD 8770"
AMD665C.2 = "AMD Radeon R9 260"
AMD665C.3 = "AMD Radeon R9 260"
AMD665C.4 = "AMD Radeon HD 8770"
AMD665C.5 = "AMD Radeon R9 260"
AMD665C.6 = "AMD Radeon R9 260"
AMD665C.7 = "AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series"
AMD665D.1 = "AMD Radeon R7 200 Series"
AMD665F.1 = "AMD Radeon R9 360"
