New PC, worked flawlessly for the past 3 weeks, today suddenly all DX11 games crash as soon as launched or after a few seconds/minutes.

Catalyst 15.7.1

Tried:
1. DDU and 15.7.1 reinstall
2. 15.10 install
3. Several system restore points (going back several days)
4. Updated BIOS

Usual errors:
Graphic driver stopped responding,, device not avalible, game.exe has stopped working etc.. no BSOD yet.
it seems like TDR problem because game would freeze for a few seconds, then continue and finally crash.

I can easily reproduce the crash with Unigine Heaven, crashes asap or a up to a minute into the bench.

What else can I try?

Specs:
i5 6600
Asus Z170-A
Crucial 500GB bx 100
16GB ram
Powercolor PCS+ R9 390
Thermaltake Smart SE SPS-630M 630W

All seems good. 8+6pin, wiggled them around a bit, both locked into place. PSU and GPu fans spinning (GPU fans are idle but they tend to spin up for a bit just before crash)

Do windows updates get removed with system restore? Weird if it started happening after working fine. Something broke

I had similar problem. I solved it with program msi afterburner.
In my case i increased voltage from 1000ma to 1025ma. ( increase slowly, by 5 or 10 then test it, going to high can burnout your GPU
The result was no more crashing. let's say GPU is now more stable.

Removed gpu and drivers completely and let windows install it via update. Same thing.

@jackTzheB: will try to play with it but I am losing hope at this point

I guess the only thing that really changed recently is that I was installing a PCI parallel printer port in x4 slot but it did not work because printer lacks windows 10 drivers so I removed it shortly after.

edit: it seems that combination of stock windows driver with +6 overvolt made it stable. Altho after a while setting the voltage back to 0 or even undervolting did not make any difference. As if the card needs to worm up or something.
I guess I'll stick to windows driver a slight overvolt and increase the TDR for now, hope that helps.

No need to over volt if it can't maintain stock clocks. RMA.
