I've posted this issue before and have never come to a full resolution on this yet. I was running my current set up for quite some time until one day my system started rebooting randomly and was hot to the touch. After looking more it became apparent that the video card was very hot to the touch. A friend at work insisted it was the power supply so I replaced the power supply and it didn't seem to help. I still had to leave the case open to prevent the temperatures from rising really high.
Currently running ATI Tool it says fans are at 100%, GPU is 86%, and temp of temp chip was 80%. Case is open and if I run anything like a game or the Scan for Artifacts in ATI Tool, all of the temps rise continuously until the computer shuts down.
At this point I'm going to pick up a new video card and try that because I'm not sure what else to do...and I guess I'll go Nvidia this time...
