Radeon 32 MB DDR or Hercules Prohpet II MX

Which one? I have been a Voodoo user for a long time and absolutely love the stability. There has never been one game that I have thrown at my Voodoo III that did not work fine. But I am noticing some limitations of the 16mb of ram now. So I am planning a upgrade. I have been considering the Radeon DDR more so than the Geforce II MX cards. Reason is I like the performance at high resolution and 32 bit color. But how stable is this card? I play UT, Rune, Deus Ex, etc. I have heard other cards have problems with UTs engine. Anybody tried this with Radeon? If so have you had problems with it? The price of the Radoen is not bad considering I can get it for about $25 more than the Prophet II MX. I think 142 from Buy.com after coupon. The prophet is about 115 or so before shipping. Please post the good the bad and the ugly.

Ohh yeah, I am using a Original K7-600 Processor and the Original AMD chipset that was released for the Athlon. Yeah I know I could probably do better with new chipsets but am waiting on DDR mainbord support before getting a new one. I am reading more on ATI Radeon and am considering it more and more. Just hoping for some advice from you knowledgeable users out there. Also 1024 x 768 is my min. preferred gaming resolution.

The Radeon is fantastic and new drivers are about to be released. It's the finest all around card I've ever had...and I've had them all. Check out rage3d for more info.

Ok Radeon leads the Hercules Prophet MX 1 - 0. Sounds like Radeon is the clear winner. )

Well, I really wanted the Herc. Unfortunately it won't run on my P2B. I just took it back to Bestbuy. Now I'm waiting on them to restock their Radeons.

I had a 3D Prophet II MX and just traded it in for Radeon 32 DDR.

The 2D is nicer and the 32 bit performance at higher res is better.

But, the MX is a GREAT card, too.
