I've have neither ordered this nor talked to a representative, but unlike Newegg who just linked to the ATI site, the card description is "in-house" so I'm pretty sure this is the plain vanilla Radeon DDR clocked at 166/166.

Card is cheap at $87.00 + $9.82 shipping to Austin Texas
This was my first post....so I hope I have done well

the picture has a fan, and the description says 166/166 MHz Clock Speed, so it doesn't sound like the LE

This would be a great price for the non LE version. Someone should call them and get clarification on this.

Look on www.pricewatch.com

Seems alot of LE are being sold in this price range, but gogocity has everyone beat by $20 on a standard 32md DDR. Which makes me skeptical.

I bet this baby is a LE card, with a misleading picture.

I could be wrong, but I would check with this company before ordering - their reseller rating might be low for errors like this....

The Radeon (VE) is not the LE version. The VE version has dual monitor support. The retail version of it has the picture of the Dragon with two heads simbolizing the dual monitor thing

This is not the LE version. If you go here you will see under DEALS@GOGO it says on their main page when you scroll down that it is NOT the LE version.

Anyway doesn't the VE version have 64-bit DDR memory while the LE version has 128-bit DDR memory?

i bet it is "VE" version, the picture is really misleading,
you can see hundreds of this very same picture on <ebay> auctions.

and Techbargains just followed the description from gogocity,
so should not believe it. but if it is really clocked at 166,
the conclusion is it is VE.

anyway, would someone buy it to figure it out?

guys:

the point really is, all radeons basically use the same ddr chips, and the same core cpu's, so wtf wouldn't you buy an LE version OEM, oc the bey0tch, add the regedit for enabling HYPER-Z, and save your money for some more Crucial Ram???
Seriously? why even DEBATE the point? Get the LE over the VE every time.
EDIT:Sh1t, there isn't even much difference in performance from 146mhz to 183mhz anyway in 32bit color with HYPER-Z chugging away..

Has anyone confirmed this is a full featured card with Hyper-Z enabled by default with a heatsink/fan attached and clocked at 166? I will believe it when I see it. Too many vendors are copying and pasting the description from ATI's website. I noticed it also states the $87 card from gogocity has a 5 year warranty. Does ATI honor 5 year warranties on OEM bare cards? I know you can get the LE from newegg and overclock with powerstrip and change registry settings to enable hyper-z but if this one from gogo is the real deal full version I would much rather have it and not have to use powerstrip, not have to change any registry settings and have a much cooler running card with a heatsink and fan already attached. For those of you who do want to overclock your card don't you think a full version with heatsink/fan would overclock higher than an already underclocked LE without a heatsink/fan? I seriously doubt this is what they say it is as much as I would like it to be. Just my two cents or $87 worth.

gogocity's description is screwed up. It clearly says it is an OEM card, but then describes a retail warranty. (ATI 5-year warranty is for retail only). You don't get a 5-year warranty on an OEM card.

We all know this is an LE card that every other vendor on pricewatch is selling in the $80-90 price range. But we also know gogocity has a terrible reseller rating. Why? Probably for giving false product descriptions liek this.

CentralScrutinizer I agree with you 100%. I am going to give it two weeks and see if ATI's recent price drop on retail boxed cards reflect in the vendors prices. Maybe get the price down to the LE. I need 5 cards for system builds and a 5 year warranty will be worth a few extra bucks to me. The LE is not supported or warrantied by ATI. I have read it is made by a third party OEM with the ATI chipset and nothing else. Not saying it is a bad card, looks like it is alot bang for the buck now but I could use a 5 year warranty from ATI for my customers. As for myself I never keep a video card over 6 months, usually much less than that. I also do alot of ghosting and formatting my hard drives because of continuous hardware and OS swapping It's not about how much fun the game is but how fast it can go.

GoGocity is wrong. There's no way these are standard (Fan, etc) DDR Radeons for that price. They must be LE's w/o Hyper Z.

Here's the HyperZ Reg hack: ATI Reg Hack

Just to clear up the memory issue. The retail boards have 5.5ns 128bit DDR, and the OEM boards have 6ns 128 bit DDR (which would make the LE underclocked out of the box - yeeha!). Some of you are confusing the memory chip density (64Mbit) with a 64 bit memory bus. I belive the forthcoming Geforce 2MX DDR is supposed to have a 64 bit DDR memory bus. I've gotten my old OEM Prophet 2 MX with 7ns RAM (out of box clocked at 166) to 215mhz (200 core) with no artifacting. Makes me think the chip yields are so good, they mark it according to orders, not to yields.

Koltzy, you are wrong there. Almost all retail 32mb DDR Radeons come with 6ns memory also - I should know since I have one that I bought back in November and it came with 6ns memory. I have been keeping up on it over at rage3d.com.

The only Radeons that are known for 100% sure to come with 5.5ns DDR are the retail 64mb VIVO versions.

I don't think that is a valid argument - for those of us who play around with dual monitors, the LE is garbage for obvious reasons. I don't suppose you have a motherboard with a pair of AGP slots and a pair of Radeon LEs?
