this happened with e6750. I kept waiting for newegg to come out with them, but they started price gouging so fast that I ended up buying from mwave. do any US online retailers have 3870 yet?

$300 (US), so roughly $50 more than I could get the hd3870 for. But since I got the evga edition I can use their step-up program and maybe that will make it worthwhile.

Nah , ATI has good supply shipment :! nvidia only shipped 50K 8800GT where else ATI shipped over 150K of RV670

The Diamond card from Diamond's website makes no mention of including Call of Juarez or the Black Box.

I just Purchased my 3870 from NCIX, I can't wait to get my hands on it. 255 with shipping 240/wo. This is a very good deal. No i need to get some artic silver to put on that GPU once it comes in.

Just so you know you may have to wait, they said they have limited stock so it could be a 1-3 week leadtime.

They are still nice regardless of whether GT prices come back to earth. I don't really care either way, I aim to buy both a 3870 and a GT. I am hoping for a price war but with the availability of either card is not really jumping out on me at the moment.

Unfortunately, Diamond sent me a note saying the 3870 is backordered. They should have it in about a week. At that price, I am willing to wait but I will definitely look around for a better deal.

We know that AMD will steadily increase performance on these cards with updated driver releases. Expect them to close the gap between the 8800GT very soon. If they can get something like 90-95% of the 8800GT while staying $50 cheaper I'm buying one without question.

If Nvidia can get their shit together and make more 8800GT boards, there was extremely limited supply for this card, which invariably causes higher prices due to low supply and high demand relationships. That, and coupled with the lack of competition from AMD at the time, we saw pretty ridiculous price gouging of the 8800GT.

Yes i knew this prior to ordering.

What are all the other software packages with this card? I have been meaning to get around to getting HL2: EP2 and TF2. NCIX is bundled with blackbox and CoJ. For 240 bucks, this is a killer deal.

Does any other sites offer any good bundles?

Not sure but when I bought from NCIX it said both games come with the board...probably just a CD-key so you can log onto Steam and get the Black Box.
