radeon 700 dual head question/issues

Just installed a dual head 7000 on someone's PC with 98se, it's a dvi and analog rgb output. The cursor seems to have gone nutso ever since then. It starts out fine after a boot but will turn into the cursor with the hour glass after a few windows are opened and closed. When dragging a window to the second screen and then dragging the same window back to the primary monitor it will turn into the resize the window double arrow and stay that way. I've tried shutting down everything via ctrl-alt-delete and it stays the same, I've tried msconfig to disable all and some of the ati stuff. It's annoying as can be. Anyone have similar issues. I tried the ati site but that certainly wasn't any help.

Bump again. This lady has dual lcd's and the second is also one of the multiple input tv tuner models. It's rigged with cable, dvd and a vcr into it, nice setup if I can get this cursor crap straight. She has a wired little office now.

Cursory screwups are entirely in the domain of W98 itself and the running applications. It's a long shot, but trying the latest ATi drivers might help it.

it has only happened since the card is in, and when I remove it and put the old card back in it goes away. the drivers are the latest ones, and per the ati supprt I have updated every driver on the machine to the latest available, sound display you name it but nothing has helped. after about ten minutes of using the machine you have to reboot since the cursor is so screwed up
