well has anybody tried these yet? people on rage3d forum are saying the 2D performance is improved with no troubles reported yet installing them. please post your results for us chickens
These are definitely worth trying. Got 500 more points in 3DMARK and 15 extra FPS in Quake by doing the following. Removed MMC, followed the Radeon driver installation guide. Used Reg Cleaner to get rid of all ATI references. Added these reg keys:

taz i have never edited registry before and added keys like you have shown.i know if done wrong im screwed and windows wontboot! how about giving some detailed instructions on how to delete and add registry keys to novices at registry editing like me. you appear to be the pro at radeon driver and registry tweaks. thanks paun.......
taz, i am with him too about registry editing, i don't know if your a programmer or not but couldn't you make little file that would add these settings to the registry by clicking on it?
Just save them as a *.reg file. *=whatever you wish to name it. In the path make sure the 0001 matches your path in the registry. It could be 0000 or 0002 etc. After you've saved it as a .reg file simply double click on it and it will enter it into your registry. It would be prudent to delete the atidxhal reg key first from your system.

MMC is the Multimedia centre. WFogEnable and ExportWBuffer have caused problems on some systems but it hasn't on mine. These are simply the keys that gave my rig the highest performance boost. YMMV.
well here I go again taz.need more specific help on those registry keys. what do i do with the keys already in atidxhal and opengl? delete what is there or just add what you put down?do i need to clean registry and if so how do i do it?do i need to remove mmc if i do how do i reinslall it? i have the 7041 drivers installed right now with the rad 32 ddr card. cmon taz be more specific and walk me through this procedure. once i do this editing a couple times i will pick it up and remember. paun-------------
taz i dont have reg cleaner in system tools.where do i get it to use it? and the atidxhal folder are you saying to delete entire folder or just what is in it?the other open gl folder you are telling me to leave whats in it alone and just add your keys to it am i correct?
