Yes, they stated many times that they are not changing CPU for 13900K to keep the accumulated data consistent and wait for Zen4 3D Cache, if you watched their videos you should know. If you like it or not, it's not your decision, but you can stop watching them if you hate it.

I don't watch them. Benchmarking is time consuming and laborious we all know that, but if you can't hack it, hire assistants or pursue another career path. Lots of other outlets refresh their data for major hardware reviews, yet he is still on Windows 11 21 H2 and is using a slower CPU which skews the results and makes the conclusions untrustworthy.

How about GN using 12700K, is that wrong in your eyes too?

GN is not that good for benchmarking as their game selection is fairly limited and they don't go into details on their test setup which annoys me. What version of Windows are they using? No idea.

But they are great in other areas, like doing investigative work which they excel in.

I consistently go back to Computerbase.de and PCgameshardware.de reviews as having the best methodology for benchmarking, far superior to the YouTubers for the most part.

How about TPU using 5800X on AMD side when they could easily use 7950X?

And guess what, there was a large difference between the 5800x and the 13900K at non 4K resolutions. Some people are going to claim that no one that would buy these cards would game at less than 4K resolution, but many gamers still prefer 2K resolution over 4K due to the added performance.

Why creating drama where there is none? They clearly state game/resolution/setting and platform used for testing, what else do you need? Are you looking for tests using only Ultra settings and 4K or 8K with overclocked 13900K and over 7000MHz memory? If that's the case then limit your reading/watching to content providing that and not 'demand' everyone follows suite as this would become boring after reading 2 reviews. Sorry, I do not see your bashing HWUB as valid as I appreciate wide spectrum of data points.
It would be a different matter if they manipulated results in malicious way, but all their numbers are fully reproducible.

I wouldn't call this drama, this is having higher expectations for reviewers and not giving them a pass when they half ass things. I expect high end GPU hardware reviews to test multiple resolutions with MAXED SETTINGS to load the GPU effectively. I also expect them to use a CPU that won't introduce bottlenecks and make the results untrustworthy.

You remember some reviews posted fairly recently by HWUB, TechSpot and Jarrods Tech that show Zen 4 on top?
Yes, those reviews maligned by the fanboys of your team because they show team red now on top.

LOL, HWUB IS Techspot! They are literally the same outlet. Can't believe you never noticed that....

You should realise that each game is different and in some cases Maxing settings means pushing things beyond reasonable, creating artificial bottlenecs. In many cases this is the prime tool AMD, Nvidia or Intel will use through their developer partnership programs to create artifical advantage over their competition, playing on their own architectural advantages to win over the rest of the field, including own prior generations.
I'm not saying this is good or bad, as that sometimes is the only way to push new interesting technlogies to the market, but limiting yourself to olny MAXED SETTINGS is not how majority of people will be using their purchased hardware. You need datapoints from all types of workloads to understand how hardware works.

Exaplme: The Witcher 2 and SSAA which was implemented but not useful for a decade. It was an interesting optioin no sane gamer would use in their settings to play that game within 5 years of it's launch.

I have this strange feeling that HUB doesn't like the 7900 XT:

Well Steve likes good value and the 7900XT is bad relative to the XTX. I think AMD did that on purpose because they are getting plenty of XTX yielding die so don't want to have too much demand for the cheaper version at launch but I expect the price to drop to more like $800 to better line up the perf/$. It is definitely being used to upsell to the XTX at the moment.

AMD doesn't want to get into a price war. They also don't want to be seen as the poor mans solution. Like every company they have to worry about what their stockholders think. That said AMD's pricing is more fluid then Nvidia and Intel. Once they start to flesh out the lineup and Nvidia does the same you will see them adjusting the price. I think they especially feel they can charge $900 because Nvidia had to pull back the 4080 12GB. Once that is released and it finds its spot in performance AMD will adjust the XT pricing.

Sorry, can't take you seriously if you conveniently ignore that he implied we were trolls and lurkers given how long myself and @amenx have been on these forums.

Agreed, that's the same thing but I didn't even read his post. I have to skip most of these because it's a bunch of nonsense yelling and youtubers with debatable methods.

Would be great if AT got back to being AT. Alas....

Well this card certainly has potential to run at 3Ghz+ , if they manage to smooth out the voltage/power curve somehow:

It scales quite well, once you put 450-500W into it

XTX gone from amd.com by the time the queue let me in. XT still available as no one wants that
LULZ! It is sold out already. All of the bundles are gone too. Perhaps you greatly underestimated the greed of scalpers. The other factor is anyone that lived through 20-21 knows $899 for a card easily faster than a 6950XT with new features ain't a bad deal anymore. At least if you put the Ferengi calculator down.

The real benefit of fine wine is that you can go out now and buy a 16GB 6800XT that gives you 2/3rds of the performance of a $1200 4080 for $500 new or even less used.*
* in USA

goodluck finding a $500 6800 xt in Europe. It' smore like $750 here but to be fair the 7900XTX will likley also be more like $1200 and not $999. (not listed yet anywhere here)

It wasn't when I got past the queue, but yeah I see its gone now. I dont think scalpers are going to make on money on these at all. XT is terrible value compared to XTX. Better off waiting for XTX stock or grabbing a cheaper 6950xt

Okay that is pretty good. Wonder how the LC editions will run. Also 3.2Ghz avg clocks according to that page in the review. If the card could hit that clock speed at 355W we have a totally different product on our hands.

Any Sapphire reviews?
I've seen PowerColor's Hellhound, it has the same MSRP as reference? but no Sapphire yet, except for a Chinese review (and I can't translate picture text to understand what I'm looking at in their charts).

No launch stock here in Finland. Custom cards go for ~1500 €. Custom XT cards for ~1300 €. Meh.

I have not yet seen any Nitro+ or Red Devil reviews.

Looking at the TPU review of the ASUS model, I see they have even the reference 7900XTX beating the 4090 in Far Cry 6. Even when RT is turned on, the reference 7900XTX virtually ties the 4090. Time to pull out the pitchforks and burn down TPU for clearly having flawed benchmark methodology and an AMD bias! Who's with me?

I actually would have assumed that US pricing might be better, but I was just converting the CA$700 deals that have popped up in the last couple weeks to USD. No idea on Europe or where ever else, though I imagine sticker would be more on everything since a lot of places include VAT in the listed price while US and Canada have whatever the tax rate added after.
