Radeon 8500 agp o/c

I was wondering if the radeon 8500 runs well at speeds higher than 66mhz agp ?

I've seen several post of 8500-users with FSB-overclocked systems having to reduce FSB for stability with 8500 vid cards.

In my case, I had to reduce FSB from 147 to 146 for stable operation when switching from GF2GTS to 8500LE64.

This was not a major sacrifice, since the 8500LE64 overclocks to 295/335 and scores 9295 3DMarks at 146 FSB - more than doubling the score for the GF2GTS at 147 FSB. It's still a very high value upgrade for $100.

I put an 8500 LE (128MB) in my system a month or so ago, and it couldn't handle the AGP port running more than a few MHz above spec (can't remember the exact details). I tried pushing the fsb up and it froze up way sooner than it had before I put it in.

PS Mine overclocked very well too. The default was 250/250 and it went up to 295/295 fine. It would even do around 310/310, but was artifacting significantly. I thought for a while that it was a bug (the textures were shimmering and partially disappearing -- the artifacts I get with my Geforces are almost always snow) so I never found the exact stable speed. I just backed off to 295/295. Good card.

My retail RADEON 8500 handles my 125MHz bus very well but I can only overclock it from 275/275 stock to 304/304 stabily.
