Radeon 8500LE or 9000?

Need a cheap card. They are sold at similar prices. Which one to go?

i think there have been a few threads about this and it seems the 8500le comes out on top.

8500le, nice overclock if you get the 3.3hynix ram, solid performance for the price
9000 DX 9 compatable, about the same or a little less performance than the 8500

Who cares if the card supporst dx9 anyway? Seriously.... Will dx9 games not run properly or what?

Good job. I got one, and was pleasantly surprised by it's performance.
makes me very much so want to try a Radeon9700
maybe when they become about $300-350 CAD I will get one.

Based on most peoples' recommandations on this forum, I ordered from newegg.com. Total 72 bucks.
