Hey, we're kinda stumped over at Rage3d, so we're wondering if anybody here got overclocking to work on their Radeon 9000 (non-pro). Thx for any help.

Hey-- I have a friend who has the 9000 non-pro, with a heatsink but no fan, and he says his GPU is kinda hot, and was wondering if any of you have any suggestions for an aftermarket add-on fan, or replacement HSF. And if so, how about any tips on removing the OEM heatsink?

I was getting 5800 at stock speeds on a 1350MHz Morgan. After overclocking the video card it jumped up to 7800. I used Win98SE, Rage3Dtweak 3.6 with Catalyst 2.3. I only load the overclocker, not the tweaker. I use the seperate ATI display controls to tweak with. After setting all three categories in the registry to 290.00 240.00 I go into the display panel and set the speed to 290/240 also. Then I also change the reset to 290/240. Regardless of what the sliders say, the card then stays overclocked. Is it possible that 5000 is an overclocked score? Maybe when you use powerstrip to overclock a little more it clocks up because your card is already overclocked? Also for the 761 chipset I use the AMD 480 AGP driver and set the IDE driver to utilize the IDEtool.
