Both rebates require ORIGINAL UPC. Anybody know if theres a typo or if box comes with two UPCs?

Get a printout from MC's site stating there are two on the product page. They should accept a copy on the MC rebate.
When I pickup at store, I'll ask.

That is definately a good deal. I too would like to know though if the rebates both require an original upc, or if one will accept a copy of the UPC.

That's because the link is to the "Xtreme Radeon 9100 PCI" with a 90 day warranty, which matches the first $30 rebate. The second $30 rebate is for the VisionTek Xtasy 9100 PCI. Good luck getting a VisionTek rebate with the wrong UPC code.

Just called MicroCenter to confirm that it's a mistake and they belong to two different card. Have to cancel the order.

but how about performance, what's the difference between pci and agp? is agp noticeably faster?

Edit: It seems there is a difference, perhaps not huge, but noticeable.

Yes, I just got it.. it looks like it's in a white box w/ no packaging.

According to FW, it has no TV-out
Looks like I'm going to have a friendly chat w/ MC and going to try esclating the issue.

Sounds like you got the OEM version. However, except for a prettier box, there's no difference between the OEM and retail package. Both come with just the card and driver CD, and the cards are exactly identical in specs. Did you get the card expecting it to have TV/out?

You would most likely be downgrading. The Geforce 3 is generally considered to be on par with the 8500LE/9100 AGP, while the PCI 9100 is anywhere from 20-30% slower than an AGP 9100.

doesnt that depend if he has a geforce3 mx or a geforce3 ti? i mean a geforce3 ti is like still better than 8500 and the lower geforce4 models?

There was no such animal as the GF 3MX. The latest MX series was the GF4 MX, but it was based on GF2 technology, and as such had no hardware shaders. The GF4 MX series was slower than the Raddy 8500.

I have a GF3 TI. I knew it was on par with the 8500LE but I wasn't aware that the 9100 AGP was roughly the same. Silly me and thinking higher numbers meant better performance.

i got one from overstock for 50, it wont POST on my BH-6, it is a good card as it works on my friends machine, guess i dont have enough juice on the PS(230W)

Funny, it works just fine on my 180w PSU.

Noobody, 230W should be fine for that card. Do you get a beep code? Try updating the BIOS (if it's really old) and change the video card initialization from AGP first to PCI first.
