surely you meant "/sarcasm off", right? i mean.. no one would be clueless enough to say the 9600 is anwhere near as fast as the 5900, would they? or the "pipeline" comment? that's so absurd you couldn't be serious, could you? so there is no reason to buy the 9800 series over the 9600 series either? since the "pipelines" mean "nothing"?

btw, there is no need to flash anything, most of them will run ultra speed bu just adjusting 2 sliders.
fyi to the previous poster, it's not "256-bit pipelines", rather a 256-bit memory interface (which effectively doubles the memory bandwidth of the gpu compared to a "128-bit" interface, or data path).
