Radeon 9700 Pro -- $149.64 -- price mistake? hot hot hot if its true

Looks like the price is up to 367.11 canadian. That's still 233.68 US according to the Bank of Canada . Too bad they don't ship to the U.S.

This is no hot deal! First off, as everyone else has mentioned...it is not $149.64 any longer. They must have realized their mistake. Second off, they do not ship to the US. Let this thread die .......... IF it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.

I can't find where they say they only ship to Canada. They have many countries listed in the order form as well as the US states listed. On the customer service > helpful ordering information page it talks about how long orders to the US take:

"For example, many items on our site show 24-48 hour availability. If you select Standard Shipping for U.S. shipments, your shipping time will be 3 to 7 business days, depending on where you live. This means your total delivery time will be 1-2 days (availability) + 3 to 7 days (shipping time). So you can expect to receive this item at your front door with 4 to 9 days after you place your order. "

Have you guys ever ordered from Canada? Last time I ordered a case UPS charged me around $28.00 for some sort of customs fee.

I contacted ATI Corporate (which happens to be in the same city as this retailer)

They assured me that if they ship a 9700 Pro, I will be getting the same card as everyone else who buys one. There is only once 9700 Pro card. Interestingly enough he also stated that they shipped the cards to the US first and have not yet supplied the Canadian sources. I guess they know where the majority of their sales are going to come from

The total with next day UPS (after they receive stock of course) was $397Cdn. Which is under $260 US. A fantastic deal if they do not cancel the orders.

UPDATE:

last night there were 2 9700 Pro cards:

First one was for CDN $235 that we all jumped on last night
Second one is the one that we all see right now...~CDN $367.

Ofcourse i ordered the cheaper one last night and got confirmation email in about 5 min. i checked my order status about 5 min ago and it said "Client Verification"...guess that means "Credit Card Verification" ?? I am hoping that it might go through..if it does..it wil be ~ US$157 for 9700 PRO...now thats HOT HOT HOT HOT ...

I still haven't been able to find where it says on the site that they only ship to Canada. I wonder if they would cancel your order if you just ordered RAM or something else. Sounds like an easy cop out, especially when they mention US orders in there customer service page.

Mine was cancelled as well for the same reason. I just went back online (same price still) and reordered to a Canadian address. The price went up a bit for PST and GST, but still way below anything else available.

Even $367 CDN is pretty cheap. These cards go for over $300 US. Maybe I should have them shipped to my girlfriend's parents' place in Montreal and pick them up and sell them. I could make quite a bit I bet.

1:1.57 is the current exchange rate.

Divide the Canadian price by 3 and multiple by 2 and take a few more bucks off and you've got your US price. $240 or so? Glad we have a Canadian office. Muahahaha.
