I have heatware under hanpan and can accept people who want to have one shipped to me. I will ship to them at only the cost of shipping. Please note I am on the west coast so west coast shipping will be cheaper but I will try to accomondate all.

Please note there is a limit to how many of these I have time to take care of but for now I am fine. I will update when I can take no more.

Anyone have anymore info on this? The website still has it listed at $367 but I'm still pretty uneasy about the whole thing.

Well, Compusmart has the 9700 listed as 100-434004. But Ablecomponent has the following for its part numbers:

9700: 100-433004
9000 (64MB Version): 100-433003
9000 (128 MB Version): 100-434004

So it looks like Ablecomp has gone a little dyslexic on us, switching the 9000 (128 MB) part number with the 9700 pro number. But after more than 24 hours (and I'm assuming a flood of orders/emails/phonecalls) the card is still listed as: RADEON 9700 PRO ENG/FRENC-(C20) 128MB AGP for $367 CDN.

God knows they've ample time to change this to prevent more orders from coming through at that price. I'm starting to smell a scam.

P.S. Has anyone called ATI themselves to verify part #'s?

I called ATI in Markham, ON (see above post) and the rep did not give me any part numbers, but did state that the 9700 Pro was $699 Cdn retail. He also stated that a 9700 Pro is a 9700 Pro. Any other oem or other card will have a different name.

After looking at quite a few US vendors selling the ATI 9700 PRO... The item# is: 100-434003.

Bottom line: I'm confused.

Looks like it's been deleted from their site. Search for Radeon 9700 comes up zilch.

It still shows up for me as well.... I ordered some yesterday and had them shipped to my gf's parents in Montreal. The order hasn't gone thru yet, so we'll see.

Just check now, 7:30, the deal seems to be dead, they fix the error I guess

100-433004 is for Radeon 9000
100-434004 is for Radeon 9700

I guess those cancellations are just excuse for their mistake.

Is there anyway to make them honor the price error? Earlier they canceled b/c they didn't ship to the US, now its a price error. You would think they'd fix it in the first place to avoid such confusion.

Well even though this is dead I have a fun side note post =)

I recently visited Montreal(I'm from New York City) and Quebec, and it was interesting...far more french than I had expected, although apparently this was due to a shift towards french over the years. Anyways, it gave me a good chance to practice my french and stuff, but it seems the people in the suburbs(umm if you can call them that lol...more like rural to me, but I'm from New York City) seemed friendlier about using english...even when I was trying to use my horrible french =) It also seemed that the waitresses and waiters there were complete pricks at the french restaurant I went to. What the hell was their problem? They didn't give us the coffee, and when I asked the waitress she said some BS about her being only the Bill Collector. WTF? Then so I went and found another waitress who said oh, you have to find a waiter/waitress that had been working on your part of the restaurant, which is absurd. So then I asked the drink manager person and I kind of yelled across the place, and the "Bill Collector" woman started responding again, until she realized I wasn't talking to her, and that the manager had pointed to her to get my coffee.

Seriously people, just because there's nice social security doesn't mean you have to be asswipes being a waiter/waitress. Sheesh. Obviously not everybody there was an ass, plus the salespeople in the small shops probably have a stake in them. And the girl at the fast food place was kinda cute and kinda cool...uhh pretend I never said cute.
