Radeon LE looks awesome!!

Holy poop-on-a-stick!! I'm on the verge of going for one myself! I'd like to find one in Canada though... That place in the states won't ship to Canada, and I'd have to pay someone to ship it here as well as tax, which is no longer a good deal.
Anyone seen a Canadian location sell one?

Looked decent at first, but then it didn't.
$85US = ~$130 Canadian

That place offered $150 + 14% tax = $171. Blecch. $225(plus tax) would get me the trade-up offer for the 64MB VIVO!

If I could find a Radeon *VE* for ~$125 Canadian and get the $50 rebate, I'd be quite tempted.

Then again, I'm almost done working out a local trade deal for a V4-4500 for under $100 Canadian... Plus selling my SB-PCI128 to cover part of the cost.

I wonder how hard it'll be to sell off the TNT-VIVO I just bought?
Bought it to have a TV, only to realize, I don't WANT a TV. Part of me does, but I'll only become a couch-zombie again. :Q

$130 for the card, $15 for shipping, $5 for "incentive" and I still get taxed 14% over the border anyways so it winds up being the same but with a LOT more work!

Heyyyy.... it just came down $10 on NCIX.com for us Canucks! Down to $146C.... that's not bad at all! only $15 more than the Newegg price. Maybe I can get 'em down a bit more...

That's right! I almost forgot... Yesterday ATI released an official "drop" in price of $20US for the entire radeon line....
The 64MB VIVO now retails for $199US, the 32MB DDR for $150, and VE for $100.
RETAIL!

The LE should just get that much cheaper... I think I can wait a tiny bit longer.... that $100 Canadian ($65US) Voodoo4 is tempting though.... Mind you, if the MX spanks the V4, and the LE spanks the MX, I'd probably be far better off spending a few bucks more on the LE.

If the price drops belive $130 Can, I'm going for it!!

From what I know about the LE, It isn't supported by ATi, and the Hyper Z isn't supported, making it slower than the MX? And since Hyper Z isn't supported, shouldn't we assume that the DDR is 64bit? Still slower than a 128bit SDR MX? Considering the Core and memory Clockspeed of the MX is still higher than the LEs.

Is this.. right?

Actaeon,

While the Radeon LE may be a third party card with an ATI Radeon GPU, it still performs on par with a normal Radeon once HyperZ is re-enabled via a few Windows registry settings. Also, the card clock speed can easily be bumped up to normal Radeon or beyond speed using Powerstrip.

tanks, for da link, I also saw something that was rather interesting it is a program called radeon tweaker that allows you to inable and disable all the possible options, I saw a link to it on a recent thread on www.amdzone.com see if you can find it I didn't link to it I just downloaded it although I still can't figure out how to overclock it yet
