Decided to buy a 4k monitor and/or native DP monitor that put an end to my issues. Bought it 3 weeks ago and received it this week (it was back order).

I received the monitor on Tuesday and I received the invitation to the conference two days later. Outside of the 7 months I've been waiting for a fix, it was two days too late.

My business is done with DP adapters so the conference call wouldn't have made sense.

Just played bf4 @ 4k with 4 x MSAA with Mantle. Driver 14.4. It was smooth as butter

Game in eyefinity when a game supports it. Game in 4k when it doesn't.
Best of two worlds! Not to mention input lag is much lower on the sammy

Yeah I really enjoy it, took a day to adapt but it went above my expectations.

Yeah I really enjoy it, took a day to adapt but it went above my expectations.

The obvious? Join the call to talk to everyone of course.

Yeah, I would have accepted the call. Partly because I love talking "shop" with other engineers.

It is a bummer there is no fix for your issue, but speaking from experience, specific setups/environments can be hard to replicate.

I noticed that from 8x MSAA to 2x MSAA, there is no visual difference, only performance impact.

This is with driver 13.12 and with stock OC with 2x MSAA

This is with 8x MSAA and cards at 1140/1450

I think this is one of the coolest side effects of a 4K display. Because of the pixel density, aliasing is far less noticeable. So you don't need to cut performance to get the better image quality.

Seing that if you want to maxed out 4k with 8x MSAA, you need 4 x R9 290x to get 60 fps average. I think it's safe to say that 4k is far from being mainstream.

Yeah mostly, I tried BF4 (mantle) Valley and a couple of others and I really don't need MSAA.

Even if I turn it off I don't notice a quality decrease.

(I still have a preference for 7680x1440(eyefinity) but 4k is awsome)

Ok, after a full week of gaming, I really love the 4k sammy.

I think it has reached a 9.9/10.

In fact, I'm almost glad that I had issue with the adapters. I was sceptical at first but now I'm so happy. :awe:

Well then I guess I'm glad your so happy that you were once very unhappy....If that makes any sense.

The 4k Sammy does look interesting too me. Might have to pick one up if I decide to go multi-gpu on the next build.

Dude, you just killed photobucket, your 4K shots are TOO MANLY for it!!

I'm with the opinion that 4K on a 28 inch monitor, you don't need MSAA, the pixel density is great enough at that point. 2 x R290s is more than enough for 4K in that sense.

loll, not yet, I still enjoy my 7680x1440 resolution.

I started playing Dark Souls II yesterday, it's nice but lot of flaws with triple monitors. Also, I expected more out of this game.
