Like in my previos post I said its not a matter of total power but steady consistant power...
If your votage flutuates then uplugging things might not help...
If everything runs fine in VGA mode then try different drivers... What drivers are you runing with your card?
Let me know the drivers of your card as well as the type of mother board you are using...
If you have a VIA let me know what 4-in-1 (they call em hyperion drivers now ) you are using
Same for SiS or Nvidia Intel, or AMD
MY persopnal opinion is that power starvation causes more fundimental problems and would cause crashes reguardless of drivers being used....b/c you stated that the system ran fine when in VGA mode tells me that a change in drivers fixes the problem.
Also that PSU is a POS so if you have about $50usd get a good 350-400watt Antec unit from newegg
www.newegg.com I think PSU's are commonly overlooked by ppl when building a computer, and as more components get added crappy PSUs get flaky, and even good PSU's begin to get strained by heavy energy demand... If you have the money get a 470watt... short of a dramatic form change in connectors that psu will last you a long time and could probably handle a quite a few hard drives and other components...
thats just me though... In fact Im ordering a PSU: Antec 550watt True Power from NewEgg for $118.... probably the last powersupply I'll ever need...
