Great card, but anyone know of similar models for similar prices with DVI?

I dont play games that much (except Civ III and AOE II) and basically just want something good for those and some movies.

Damn. Sounded interesting. Was looking for a dualhead card (newegg is out of the refurbed matrox') in this price range.

Only negative is: Windows 98/2000/ME (note: dual independent display not supported in 2000)

The compgeeks 64mb DDR Radeon VE card has been discussed before in a previous thread. The card they are selling is OEM and does NOT include the ATI dual monitor software:

Though the site says 64DDR memory, it is definitely not the same as the 64DDR card. So get the heading straight.

VE is much worse than the LE as far as 3D performance goes, however it offers dualhead support which LE doesn't.

Yeah, the LE can be had for $67 shipped from newegg and performs a LOT better once you do the minor tweaks.

Anybody interested should read Anand's LE article and then get that instead.

Eh, the Radeon VE's are the ones that has their T&L disable, so that means no T&L. Not good for gaming at all.

This is most likely a Gateway OEM VC - I have it on my computer from gateway.

IIRC VE has only 1 pixel pipeline and no T&L. Performance is pretty bland.
