I wouldn't call it cold, but it's definatly not something I would get. I have an AIW Radeon and it works awesome so there's no reason for me to upgrade really. I read that the TV tuner chipset is all the same as the AIW Radeon, which disappoints me. I would have expected them to upgrade that to something incredible. Not a bad price if you want the speed of the Radeon 8500 and a TV tuner, but it will most likely go down soon.

I wouldn't say that this is a hot deal, but this is for sure a kick ass video card. A $250 8500 with all the add on cards that this thing eliminates. Onboard firewire, tvtuner and remote control. Man this card is great. I would get one if I didn't have an 8500 already.

Multimedia Center 7.5 is XP-centric. It was designed specifically with XP in mind. Everything works.

8500DV is a significant advancement over the original AIW Radeon. You get a card capable of playing your latest games in blazing glory as well as functioning as a PVR with hardware MPEG-2. The remote is pretty nifty too

Buy.Com is pretty cheap at $336.95 with free shipping. But they don't have 'em in stock. So NewEgg is getting a premium. That's the price you pay to be an early adopter of technology.

Pabster, if you don't mind my asking, have you personally used MMC 7.5 yet? I would love to try a leaked version when/if possible. I used 7.2 about a month before it was available (thanks to somebody at a fan site, whose name I cannot mention.) I would love to try MMC 7.5. By the way, what version of the DVD player corresponds to MMC 7.5?

I will get this card. If my wife allows it. It will be a hell of an upgrade from my ge force 2mx.

I want a card that can play all the new games properly and at the same time give me options to play around with video editing,tv viewing.
The firewire port is sweet. I just hope everything works the way that they should.
the price of $330 to $350 is almost the same price as a geforce 3 ti 500. With the radeon having so much features.

There is also the GeForce card called the Personal Cinema! It has the same features as the AIW.It comes in GF2/MX200,GF2/MX400 and the hard to find GF3/Ti500!
Most people aren't aware of this card.They all have the tuner and tivo type function.The GeForce cards come with a version of online TV Guide,not Guide Plus.

AIWs rapidly go down in price after the initial euphoria (I got my AIW Radeon for about $90 net). If you don't have the early adopter bug it's better to wait for a month or two after release to get a better price.
