I think $34.99 is the online price. If you look carefully at the coupon, it's good for in store purchases ONLY......not online. Unless you have a friendly sales person that will pricematch the online price, the $39.99 price is likely what you'd pay in store.

Sweet if you can get the pricematch, but definitely YMMV.

Actually, the base station w/ answering system (43-3815) is $80 - $30 in-store coupon = $50. Not sure if in-store price is the same as online price ($80). The base station w/o answering system (43-3529) is $60 (no coupon).

The base station is $89 in store.

I think for that price I would go with Panasonic 2.4 DSS phone with base station, I have never had good luck with Radio Shack cordless phones.

The store has it for $34.99, but the I couldn't get it for 50% the sale price. I am sure that I could have if I bitched enough, but for $2 it's not worth it. I bought a couple of extension phones since the coupon expires today. I have yet to get a base station, but that coupon is good till 8/31. The ability to transfer calls between extensions is really appealing, but I will be taking this thing back if the sound quality is poor.

The store has the base for $79. YMMV on getting it for $49 with coupon.

The coupon expired on 7/23 for the handset. I agree with you about the Siemens units, tin cans sound better. I am told that the RS units are made by Uniden. I got the base and three extra handsets. $120 for a four handset system with recorder seems like a good deal to me. Thanks for the deal. I am charging the batteries now.

I agree he should read the whole post before commenting, but maybe it would be helpful if that fact were mentioned in the title of the thread, it seems pretty significant to me.

Not to thread cr4p, but RadioShack phones are just as good as vtech or uniden. I've had very bad experience with the quality of these phones, the sound just goes on deteriorating as times passes by !
