RAID 0+1 is a RAID 0 mirrored. 4 physical drives. All four drives, regardless of actual capacity, are the same size. You can have a 40, 60, 80 and 120GB if you want, you'd get a 80GB RAID 0+1.Originally posted by: Kenazo
So, Raid 0+1 is just a raid 0 array, mirrored?
Does the drive used to mirror it have to be an identical raid 0 setup, or can it be mirrored onto a comparable sized single drive?

hey if I do RAID 1, and a drive goes down, can I pop the other drive into a different machine, minus raid card, and read from it?
