Is it safe me running my RAID 0 (2x250Gb Seagates) on a 500W Superchannel, my system is in my signature, so please let me know, i dont want ot damage my stuff and looking at getting a 550W or 600W power supply, including the thermal take tough power, what other recommendations for me in that range for a price range of $70-90
I dont know the true conversion, but from what i seen, its round about there, so please give me recommendations guys, thanks again, but want to make sure its a complete necessity

2 HDD hardly use any power, you'll be fine.

Corsair VX450 would be a good choice for a new PSU.

you don't need that much power to even upgrade that system. a good 400W will work just fine for what your sig has. and 2 harddrives really aren't anything maybe use 35-50 watts max

Hmmm but for future upgrades etc wouldnt it be safe to get myself a 650W esp for the 9xxx Nvidia range along with the new Quad core, so i want to have summin that will last me a long time and dont need to replace it within a year or two

It's not exactly how much Wattage the PSU is rated for, it's the Amps the PSU is rated at and the efficiency...also it's how many Amps the 9xxx series will consume. Googling a couple different terms shows some reviews revealing it will use slightly less or about the same as the 8xxx's. You have to check the power specs for each PSU you want to buy, and make sure that the total Amperage rated on that PSU will exceed what your system will consume...especially the VGA.

As far as RAID0 goes, it's never safe. I hope you have a backup solution for all that important data you have. Hard drives consume little power, even while spinning.

Using RAID 0 purely for the speed factor, and backup to DVD anything important so its no big issue, but i am looking at getting the Thermaltake tough power 550W, or its pure power, not sure, but getting that soon, anyone comment on those?

It would be faster if you didn't use raid but instead split say, OS on one drive, games, music, etc on the other drive. Drives are much faster when they're only doing one thing at a time. This is why a drive that copies to another is fast, but when you copy the file onto the same drive, it's slow.

Also, look around. There were some power supply deals floating around in the hot deals forums.
