Raid 0

I bought 2 400gb seagate hd's at fry's on sale thinking I'd put them into raid 0, it's now been two weeks and I could really use some help! Im using the gigabyte 965p-ds3 (more info in comment) and was wondering If I could do this without formatting my drives all over again, because I have collected a bit of data in the last couple of weeks on the hd.

First off, it's probably better to use smaller capacity drives for RAID. A lot of people use two 74GB Raptors, for instance. RAID should be simple enough to setup - Windows Setup should ask you to press F6 if you have third party RAID drivers, which your motherboard should provide (or download them).

Make sure the drives are connected to the blue SATA connectors.

Refer to page 65 of the Gigabyte owner's manual.

Also, load up the Gigabyte RAID driver from the install disk. You will then have the option in windows to rebuild the drives into RAID formation without reformatting the drives.
