Does anyone know if it's in there? I have tried to pry the information out of Intel's support staff, but since it appears the ICH9R has not yet been officially launched (huh?) they're not answering queries regarding chipset specs. ah heck.
Basically I'm building a new system in just under a month and I intend to set up a raid 5 array on the built-in controller. At the moment I'm leaning towards P965, which, due to no online array expansion, means I have to buy as many drives as possible right away since the array will not be expandable. Array expansion on the other hand would let me start off with 3 drives and then add to them later. I know the 680i chipset has array expansion but the many reported memory compatibility issues basically have me too scared to go that route (I also intend to install 4x2GB RAM). I kinda assume, or at least hope, that Intel will have matched the 680i's features this time around, but no-one's saying.....
If anybody knows for sure or will take the time to check it out for me I'd be extremely grateful!
